Can a virtual office/food truck/etc. get a GBP?

How non-traditional business models can get listed on Google

One of the most common questions in the Google Business Profile Help Community is, “Can an [X type of business] have a Google Business Profile?”

While Google doesn’t limit GBP eligibility solely to brick-and-mortar businesses, their official guidelines don’t exactly make it clear which ✨ alternative ✨ business models are allowed to list their business.

In her new article, Miriam Ellis addresses this problem and tells us whether, and how, the following business models can get listed on Google:

  • Food trucks

  • Kiosks and ATMs

  • Virtual kitchens

  • Home-based businesses

  • Virtual service businesses

  • Seasonal businesses

  • Businesses located at co-working spaces

  • Virtual offices and P.O. boxes

Read it to find out if your business is eligible for a GBP, and, if it’s not — how to make it appear on Google Maps anyway 🤫😉
